Are YOU choosing health?

September 12, 2011

I’ve been having conversations lately about the power of CHOICE in regard to health and well-being. I believe that in order to change ANY habit, belief or pattern from one that is not supportive of vibrant health to one that is — it is extremely important to realize that WE have chosen the unhealthy option.  Once we have arrived at that awareness.. guess what? We can choose something different!!

I think Abraham-Hicks provides this wisdom brilliantly in the following quote:-

You have the ability to quickly change your patterns of thought, and eventually… your life experience.

Take 15 minutes daily, thinking of pleasant scenarios regarding your body, with the sole intent of enjoying your body and appreciating its strength and stamina and flexibility and beauty. When you visualize for the joy of visualizing rather than with the intention of correcting some deficiency, your thoughts are more pure and, therefore, more powerful. When you visualize to overcome something that is wrong, your thoughts are diluted with the “lackful” side of the equation. In time, your physical condition will acquiesce to your dominant thoughts. ~Abraham

So I really encourage you to gift yourself with that 15 minutes of thinking of pleasant scenarios about your body.  To help you with that – hop over to my other site – www.DivinelyInspiredWeightLoss.com and sign up to receive “Your Divine Body Kit” — one of the items in the kit is a list of 50 Body Loving Affirmations.

Personal Responsibility Improves Weight Loss Results

September 8, 2011

Your doctor can advise you, your family can beg you, and your friends can urge you… BUT you are the only one who can change your weight by changing your behaviour. It’s in our nature to wish for an easy fix, a magic treatment, or pill, but spending our energy on this type of wishful thinking distracts us from the real task at hand and that makes us feel helpless to choose and control our own destinies.

The first step in a successful weight loss program is to take responsibility for your health and weight. The fact that most people do realize that they are responsible for their weight indicates that the majority of us intellectually know the truth… however – our behaviours often suggest that, deep down… we believe otherwise.

If you tend to blame others for your lack of success or have a host of excuses for why you can’t meet your goals-or if you can’t seem to let go of food as your coping strategy, there is a good chance you are struggling to take responsibility for your mistakes.

So – just for today… what could you do to take one step toward assuming complete responsibility for your vibrant health and move into the idea of loving what YOU see in the mirror? If you can take just one step at a time – your health and vibrancy will really start to shine.

As always – I am here to help!

Love,
Moira
