Noticing where you ARE!

October 1, 2011

There is some really major roadwork / highway improvement happening near where I live… it’s been going on for at least two years now.  Road construction has always fascinated me – it is such a massive combination of planning and big picture logistics followed by all of the minutiae that forms the end product.

The reason I’m writing about this here, is – recently there was a large phase of the upgrade completed and now I get to drive on a completely new road which runs parallel to the old one… on the very first day I drove this road – I found that I could not visualize or work out where I was driving in relation to how it used to be.  It was as if the old route never existed for me.

To bring this into the idea of looking after your own health, weight and well-being.  If you look at yourself as you are now, paying no heed to what you have changed and accomplished – it can feel like a never ending battle, to get fitter, feel better, maybe even drop a few more pounds.

So I’m encouraging you to be proud of the work you’ve done on yourself… of course we are all “works in progress” but it is REALLY important to enjoy the journey.  Remember it’s not necessarily about the destination (when you get there – there will always be somewhere else to go!!) – the journey (and detours) are what make the experience tranformational and exciting!

Are YOU choosing health?

September 12, 2011

I’ve been having conversations lately about the power of CHOICE in regard to health and well-being. I believe that in order to change ANY habit, belief or pattern from one that is not supportive of vibrant health to one that is — it is extremely important to realize that WE have chosen the unhealthy option.  Once we have arrived at that awareness.. guess what? We can choose something different!!

I think Abraham-Hicks provides this wisdom brilliantly in the following quote:-

You have the ability to quickly change your patterns of thought, and eventually… your life experience.

Take 15 minutes daily, thinking of pleasant scenarios regarding your body, with the sole intent of enjoying your body and appreciating its strength and stamina and flexibility and beauty. When you visualize for the joy of visualizing rather than with the intention of correcting some deficiency, your thoughts are more pure and, therefore, more powerful. When you visualize to overcome something that is wrong, your thoughts are diluted with the “lackful” side of the equation. In time, your physical condition will acquiesce to your dominant thoughts. ~Abraham

So I really encourage you to gift yourself with that 15 minutes of thinking of pleasant scenarios about your body.  To help you with that – hop over to my other site – www.DivinelyInspiredWeightLoss.com and sign up to receive “Your Divine Body Kit” — one of the items in the kit is a list of 50 Body Loving Affirmations.

Start loving what YOU see in the mirror today!

Personal Responsibility Improves Weight Loss Results

September 8, 2011

Your doctor can advise you, your family can beg you, and your friends can urge you… BUT you are the only one who can change your weight by changing your behaviour. It’s in our nature to wish for an easy fix, a magic treatment, or pill, but spending our energy on this type of wishful thinking distracts us from the real task at hand and that makes us feel helpless to choose and control our own destinies.

The first step in a successful weight loss program is to take responsibility for your health and weight. The fact that most people do realize that they are responsible for their weight indicates that the majority of us intellectually know the truth… however – our behaviours often suggest that, deep down… we believe otherwise.

If you tend to blame others for your lack of success or have a host of excuses for why you can’t meet your goals-or if you can’t seem to let go of food as your coping strategy, there is a good chance you are struggling to take responsibility for your mistakes.

So – just for today… what could you do to take one step toward assuming complete responsibility for your vibrant health and move into the idea of loving what YOU see in the mirror? If you can take just one step at a time – your health and vibrancy will really start to shine.

As always – I am here to help!

Love,
Moira

Scheduling

August 30, 2011

I’ve been striving for a sense of organization in my business-life and my personal-life. Just having a sense of what needs to be done today – how much time each task will take and what the best priority order is!

When I say striving – I mean idealizing or dreaming of :D

I am definitely getting better at staying on track – I’ve just finished getting all of my email addresses together and being run through my Gmail account which I have to say – I’m quite impressed on how much less time I am spending on that – it’s much less of a distraction to me when I do not see that little message “You’ve Got Mail” flashing up on the bottom right corner of my screen!

The other thing that I’ve been able to get back on track with is my exercise routine – I am fitting in at least 30-45 minutes 5-6 times a week… My body sure feels better when I organize my time to allow for that!

So all I want to lovingly draw your attention to is that in order to really get into a sense of order in your life – the first step is to look after YOUR well-being.  What could you do today to start that?

Gratitude and Gratefulness

August 10, 2011

Gratitude for what you HAVE instead of yearning for what you do not (yet!)  have is often spoken of as being the key to living a much more fulfilling life – I believe that being grateful here and now also allows us to keep our attention in the present moment – rather than spinning off into the future (wishing for something to arrive) or going back into the past (pining for something that’s been “lost”).

What do you do to express your gratitude in life?

It occurred to me that there are varying levels of gratitude and appreciation that I express.  Sometimes it’s just having gratitude for having a place to live – food on the table – friends, family, etc.  But other times it is much more granular than that…

  • like feeling the whisper of the breeze playing with my hair as I walk down the road.
  • seeing the trees dance and sway in the wind.
  • listening to the frogs and crickets sing as I drift off into a restful sleep.

“It is necessary, then, to cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude.” ~Wallace D. Wattles

What are you grateful for today?

Divinely Inspired

August 4, 2011

As you may know – I have been working on some changes in my business.  The main focus of these changes is to deliver the results YOU are looking for rather than a per session mode of operating.

When looking at the idea of specializing – I chose stress management as that is a large part of what I do… However, when I reviewed what YOU are asking me for – it was weight loss!! I’ll still continue to offer the products I have now – but the new program is www.DivinelyInspiredWeightLoss – you can hop on over there and see what it is all about.

If you have worked with me before, you will know that it is so very important to me to support people in their journey to gain health and happiness physically – emotionally – mentally – and spiritually (PEMS).

I’ll keep you posted as this process unfolds – I’d love to hear from you about any specific program or product you feel would be of benefit to you!

Families

July 4, 2011

I hope your week is off to a great start and that you have a chance to enjoy some of the lovely weather we are experiencing right now!

Today – the Angel of Families surround both you and your loved ones. The reason this Angel has shown up is an invitation for you to stop worrying about any family member or loved one. Surrender your fears and concerns to the Angels and just KNOW that the situation is being healed and transformed right now.

Personally, I consider every being on this planet a member of my family. Feel and visualize those you love and are connected to being bathed in light and love. Imagine beams of love emanating from your heart and surrounding each family member in beautiful healing energy. In turn, feel the light and love they shower you with… and give thanks to the angels for their love, assistance and support.

Reflections

June 23, 2011

I love how the Universe works – especially when I take time to notice and recognize reflections of what is going on for me!

I just finished writing a message to someone about how fascinating it is to see yourself reflection in those around you. When you see something in someone that you like… you have that quality too. And likewise, when you see something you do not like… you have that quality too.

Then I drew a card for today and got the ‘God of Reflections’ :o

This is all about giving away your power because you fail to recognize and acknowledge the many amazing qualities that you have right here, right now. The qualities that you see and admire in others are merely reflections of the same qualities within. Your thoughts or beliefs that others are better than you in some way are false. It is time to let this belief go and allow your beauty, talent, success and creativity to shine through.

From now on, every time you see beauty in another – allow it to remind you of your own beauty. If you see success in another… check to see it within you too – and so on.

By acknowledging all of the qualities you already have – you open the door to the endless stream of abundance and blessings which awaits your beckon and acceptance.

Manifestation

June 6, 2011

Over the last few days I have been feeling extremely tired – no matter how much sleep I have, I still feel that I could do with having more!!  I’ve been putting a lot of work into setting up new potentialities professionally and personally in 2011-2012. When I think about what 2011 will bring – I am filled with excitement :) .

So you can imagine how good it felt to draw the “Angel of Manifestation” this morning! She tells us that our efforts, determination and perseverance have paid off! Something yearned for, dreamt of and worked towards is about to manifest. That being said – this is not a time for wild elation – we are encouraged to quietly give thanks, keep the focus and balance and do not lose sight of the original purpose.

My need for extra sleep feels like it is in alignment with this – I give thanks to my angels and the universe for this blessing and will continue doing what I am doing.

How does the Angel of Manifestation showing up today feel for you?

One word theme for 2011

February 24, 2011

I believe that 2011 will bring some amazing progress, shifts and changes for all of us.

My one-word theme for 2011 is EASE.  Initially I thought it was going to be ALIGNMENT however, as I kept speaking that as a concept for me… it did not fully resonate for me.  The theme of ease feels so much more empowering, exciting and allowing of a smooth path.

Some definitions of Ease:-

(noun)

  • the state of being comfortable.
  • relief from discomfort or obligation.
  • effortlessness.

(verb)

  • to free from something that pains, disquiets or burdens.
  • to make less difficult.
  • to lessen pressure or tension.
  • to give freedom or relief.

With a theme of ease – I will allow myself to have a lot more fun as I allow all of the good things to come to me.  This does not mean that I will bury my head in the sand when there are problems or challenges to be experienced – BUT – it is possible to move through any hardship with grace and EASE.

In closing, I’d like to share a quote from the Abraham-Hicks body of work…

“Let your dominant intent be to feel good which means be playful, have fun, laugh often, look for reasons to appreciate and practice the art of appreciation. And as you practice it, the Universe, who has been watching you practice, will give you constant opportunities to express it. So that your life just gets better and better and better.”

How does this sit with you?  If you could pick a one-word theme for 2011 – what would it be?
